Cane Creek’s Thudbuster suspension seatposts are perfect for hardtail riders who need to take the sting out of rough trails. The patented, stiction-free parallel linkage design moves the seat down and back under impacts, perfectly counteracting the upward/forward movement of the rear wheel. Thudbusters come with a range of polymer bushings that allow you to tune the suspension action to your weight and personal preferences. There are two models in the range; the short travel (ST) with 33mm of ‘give’, and the long travel (LT) with 76mm of travel. Depending on diameter and length, STs weigh from 440g and LTs are around 570g. All models sell for $199, which may seem very fair after 60km of rocky or corrugated trails.
