Muru Cycle Witjira Frame

Our continent mightn’t be snowbound through winter, but fatbikes have become a desirable thing nonetheless. Whether they’re for beach riding, desert touring or just the novelty of having near endless traction from monstrous tyres run at single-digit pressures, fatbikes certainly hold a unique appeal. Muru Cycles is a new Australian based brand that specialises in titanium fatbikes. Their Witjira frame offers clearance for tyres up to 4.8-inches wide and comes with comprehensive array of fittings for racks and bottles. The sample that we photographed weighed 1,710g, which is very light for a fatbike frame and there were plenty of neat features like a replaceable titanium derailleur hanger and the option of a nice looking titanium fork. The pricing also is quite affordable for titanium; the Witjira frame sells for $1,399 and the matching titanium fork goes for $299.
