Carbon bars may offer a subtle degree of ‘vibration damping’ when compared to alloy but the Muru Sandbar goes a step further—it offers some real flex. Titanium is a very springy and resilient material and Muru uses this trait to add some bump-absorbing give to the ride. Made from seamless aerospace grade 3/2.5 titanium, the Sandbar weighs 240g and sells for a very respectable price of $99. As a flat bar, it’s well suited to modern 29er MTBs. It comes in a healthy 730mm width (which can be cut down of course) and a nine-degree sweep.
