Old Ghost Road - Official Opening
This 85km backcountry epic has been a work in progress since early 2013 but they’ve finally announced a grand opening date; it’s the 12th December 2015.
Located on wild west coast of New Zealand's South Island (near Westport), the two ends of the Old Ghost Road will finally meet in the middle to create a remarkable point-to-point multi-day adventure.
We rode it prior to completion (check the story here) and the videos provide some idea of the spectacular riding on offer. It’s the latest ‘Great Ride’ to be listed in New Zealand’s Cycle Trail network and they’re set to have a grand opening party at the NBS Theatre in Westport at 2pm on 12th December.
