Poc MTB helmets

Swedish brand Poc has a strong following in Europe and having passed Australian standards testing, their distinctive MTB helmets will soon be available Down Under. Aimed at the trail and ‘gravity enduro’ market, the Trabec Race MIPS places priority on protection but does so without neglecting weight and ventilation. It is said to weigh 350g and has 16-vents with built-in channels. The polystyrene core is reinforced with aramid filaments and the polycarbonate shell is constructed with the seams located in the least exposed areas. Unique to Poc, the ‘MIPS System’ aims to reduce the rotational forces to the brain in the case of an oblique impact. The Trabec Race MIPS will sell for $299 and they also offer the Trabec without the MIPS system for $199.
