Dutch brand Van Nicholas has just released a new 27.5 plus compatible titanium hardtail called the Revelstoke. The frame is made from hydroformed 3Al-2.5V titanium with 6Al-4V dropouts and offers clearance for 3.0 tyres. When you want a faster more XC oriented ride, the same frame will accommodate regular width 29er wheels. The Revelstoke can also be ordered with their rather unique looking single sided titanium fork.

The geometry is fairly traditional, with a steepish 71-degree head angle and average reach measurements across the three standard frame sizes. Measuring 434mm, the chainstays are quite short for a fat tyred bike, which should make for a relatively agile ride. To provide sufficient drivetrain clearance with the wide tyres and short stays, Van Nicholas employs Boost 148 hubs and cranks on the Revelstoke.

It certainly looks the part with its natural titanium finish and should be quite a versatile ride. Van Nicholas is distributed in Australia by Blue Globe Alliance www.blueglobe.com.au
