Wharfedale Track Upgrade

Located a couple of hours north of Christchurch, just in the foothills of the NZ Alps, the Wharfedale offers some classic old school riding. It’s not a ‘flow trail’ but it offers its own style of fun and challenge with rocks, slippery tree roots and a good dose of mud at times.

While it has stood the test of time, the trail was in need of some TLC so the crew from Ground Effect clothing stepped in to polish it up a little and produced the following video in the process.

Ground Effect has long had an ethos of giving back to the community and in the past year alone they’ve donated around $20,000 and a load of IMBA trail books to assist with 18 projects on both sides of the Tasman.
